Foundations 1

This set of foundations forms the basis of communication with our puppies.  

​

One of the first behaviors we teach is a hand touch. Why? Touch:

• creates fun interaction and is easy for your dog to learn

• reinforces a closed mouth near hands

• creates a positive association with hands

• helps move your dog through space

• works with loose leash walking to create an unstructured heel

• functions as an alternative "come!"

• anyone can do it

Our first behaviors are touch, find it, watch me, and come.
