Sally D. Stabb, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

Originally from Missouri and then Pennsylvania, Sally has now lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 30 years, after moving around the country for her education. She has a B.A. (Psychology) and an M.Ed. (Secondary Guidance) from Penn State, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. She has pursued specialized training in working with couples, has run support groups for therapists, and works through a lens of social justice and cultural humility in all aspects of her vocation.

After 35 years in academics and training hundreds of psychotherapists,  she’s now pursuing certification with the Academy of Dog Trainers. An avid dog lover from an early age, this new direction brings her full circle from childhood obedience classes with her first Wire Fox Terrier to her current crew – Bean the Jack Russell and (Crazy) Daizy, a Smooth Fox Terrier. She embraces her terrier bias but is enjoying learning how to work with all kinds of dogs. Sally also volunteers at the no-kill animal shelter in Carrollton, Operation Kindness.

Sally has a unique role at Wiggle Butt Academy bringing her people expertise and compassion to the folks on the front lines of day-in-and-day-out dog training. She’s looking forward gaining the additional credentialling needed to help both dogs and people live more joyful and fear-free lives together.
