Dog training in McKinney, TX
Your trainer lives here too.
Alexis Middleton, our service dog trainer, lives in McKinney. Our training facility on Ridgeview Drive sits about five minutes from the McKinney line. So a McKinney family gets in-home sessions from a trainer who lives down the road, and a classroom that's a short drive rather than a trek across the Metroplex.

What we help McKinney families with
McKinney has grown fast, and a lot of that growth is young families in new neighborhoods. That combination — new construction, new sidewalks, new dogs meeting each other for the first time at Bonnie Wenk — changes the skills a dog needs to be safe and comfortable.

Your McKinney Training Team
Alexis Middleton CPDT-KA, FFCP, FPPE, CPPS Alexis lives in McKinney and leads our service dog work. She started training in 2019 as a volunteer puppy raiser with Patriot Paws, the service dog organization, working with Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Poodles and mixes from eight weeks to three years old, then joined them full time after finishing her BS in Zoology at Texas A&M. Alongside service dogs she works with puppies, adolescents and adult dogs, and she specializes in rehabilitating dog-to-dog play. She's currently accruing hours to sit for her Behavior Consultant exam. Her own dogs, Prowler and Frankie, work as helper dogs in client sessions
Our team holds credentials through the Academy for Dog Trainers, IAABC, CCPDT, Victoria Stillwell Academy and Fear Free. We'll match you with the person whose background fits your dog's situation — not whoever happens to be free.
Please verify our credentials. Choosing the right professional for your dog is a genuinely important decision, and we'd rather you check.

Common Questions
Do you come to my house in McKinney?
Yes. In-home private sessions are how most of our McKinney cases start, and Alexis lives here.
Where are your group classes, and how far is that from McKinney?
2257 Ridgeview Dr., Plano, TX 75025 — about five minutes from the McKinney line. Wednesday evenings: puppy socials and pattern games at 6:00pm, manners at 7:30pm.
Do you offer puppy training in McKinney?
Yes, both ways. Puppy classes run at our Ridgeview Drive location and we also do private in-home puppy sessions. Most families do some of both. Call us with puppy training questions! We'd love to help.
Do you help with service dogs?
Yes — it's one of our specialities, and the trainer who leads it lives in McKinney. Alexis raised service dogs for Patriot Paws before joining us and still works with service dogs and service dog prospects. If you're wondering whether your dog is a realistic candidate, that's a good conversation for the free call. We'll tell you honestly either way.
My dog has bitten someone. Will you still work with us?
Yes. Our behavior consultants handle fear, reactivity, resource guarding and aggression regularly, including dogs with a bite history. We'll be honest about what's realistic and we won't judge you for asking. If you're trying to understand how serious the bite was, our dog bite scale guide explains the six levels.
How much does dog training cost in McKinney?
Private sessions are $155 or $180 per hour depending on the experience level your case needs. Group classes are priced separately. Full details on our pricing page, and we'll talk options through on your free call.
Do you use e-collars or prong collars?
No. Never. We teach your dog to respond to your voice and hand signals, not to tools that work through discomfort.
Do you offer training in Spanish?
Sí. Krystal Rivera, one of our trainers, is bilingual and works with families in English or Spanish.
Are you actually based in McKinney?
Alexis lives in McKinney and our facility on Ridgeview Drive is about five minutes from the line. We're not a franchise with a McKinney postcode — we're the people you'd run into at the park.
