Krystal Rivera, VSA-CDT, FFCP
Krystal was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Texas in 2018. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico - Río Piedras Campus with a Bachelors Degree in Humanities & Fine Arts - Photography and a minor in Philosophy. Her passion has always been with animals, from taking years of equestrian summer camps and kid dog training classes, wanting to be a wildlife conservation photographer, fostering and having animals of her own throughout her life to now making a career out of it!
Krystal is a bilingual Fear Free Certified dog trainer from the Victoria Stilwell Academy with years of experience at dog daycare & boarding environments in the Pet Care Industry. She aspires to combine creative problem solving of behaviors to rehabilitate and facilitate families in achieving a better understanding of their canine companions and strengthen their relationships. Her dream is to one day combine art as a positive relationship tool for families and their pups.

Completing the Fear Free Animal Program allows trainers to work in partnership with veterinary teams to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress and improve an animal’s emotional wellbeing during veterinary care and home care. This certification program is designed to give qualified animal trainers the knowledge and tools required to begin implementing Fear Free techniques with their clients’ pets at the veterinary hospital, through in-clinic training classes for puppies and kittens, and in day-to-day training of animals in the home.
