Meet the Wiggle Butt Team

Christian Flournoy, BS, CPDT-KA, FFCP, CPPS
Certified Pet Tech Instructor

Christian is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) who joined Wiggle Butt Academy in 2021. In addition to being a Fear Free Certified Professional, she is also certified to teach Pet First Aid & CPR. She offers training in manners and foundational skills for dogs of all ages, Canine Good Citizen training, Therapy dog training, and more. Christian also offers training and coaching for clients with feline friends.

Christian received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Baylor University, which helps her today in understanding  how to design and implement behavior change programs. She is currently accruing hours to sit for her Behavior Consultant certification exam.

Christian has lived with pets her entire life, and entered the pet care industry when she became a dog walker/pet sitter. She later worked for a dog daycare where she learned more about dog behavior. After adopting a fearful dog, she wanted to do more to rehabilitate pets with big feelings.

Christian lives with her husband, her rescue pup, and two rescue cats. Her dream is to someday have an animal sanctuary in her backyard while continuing to train pet parents so that more animals can get off of the streets and stay that way.

Christian is a Fear Free Certified Professional.

We align with the Fear Free mission. We choose to minimize fear, anxiety and stress whenever possible. This includes NEVER using techniques that cause pain or tools like e/shock collars, prong collars, choke collars, etc.  Completing the Fear Free Program allows trainers to work in partnership with families and veterinary teams to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress and improve an animal’s emotional wellbeing during veterinary care and home care. This certification program is designed to give qualified animal trainers the knowledge and tools required to begin implementing Fear Free techniques with their clients’ pets at the veterinary hospital, through in-clinic training classes for puppies and kittens, and in day-to-day training of animals in the home.

Fear Mentorship

Completed the 8 week Canine Impulsivity and Fear Mentorship with Kristina Spaulding, PhD, CAAB. This mentorship, delivered through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, focuses on canine impulsivity, hyperactivity, reactivity and fear.

Family Dog Trainer
