Meet the Wiggle Butt Team
Christian Flournoy, FFCP, CPPS
Christian was born and raised in Houston where her family taught her to love animals from a young age. She studied public health at Baylor University in Waco, and moved to Dallas with her cat after graduating.
There, she started working as a pet sitter and dog walker while she looked for a job in her field. She never went back to the health field after that.
Since then she has worked in a dog daycare setting, watching the interactions between dogs in group settings. A year later, she adopted a fearful rescue dog who needed a lot of help to become a Wiggle Butt. She decided to become a dog trainer to give her dog the best possible life he could have, and hopefully do the same for many more dogs. She recently joined the Wiggle Butt team as an Apprentice Dog Trainer and after certification has become a Trainer focusing on manners and foundation skills for dogs of all ages. Currently, she aspires to become a behavior consultant for rescue groups to help more dogs get adopted and stay adopted.
Christian is a Fear Free Certified Professional.
We align with the Fear Free mission. We choose to minimize fear, anxiety and stress whenever possible. This includes using techniques or tools like e/shock collars, prong collars, etc. Completing the Fear Free Program allows trainers to work in partnership with families and veterinary teams to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress and improve an animal’s emotional wellbeing during veterinary care and home care. This certification program is designed to give qualified animal trainers the knowledge and tools required to begin implementing Fear Free techniques with their clients’ pets at the veterinary hospital, through in-clinic training classes for puppies and kittens, and in day-to-day training of animals in the home.
We offer The Family Dog Private Training Program for families with dogs & kids. This customized program is designed to get everyone involved, on board and on the same team.
We are dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our business. We achieve this through education and execution of best practices. To obtain the CPPS credential, professionals must pass the CPPS Exam, adhere to quality standards and a Member Code of Conduct and Ethics and complete 30 CEUs each renewal cycle.
