Amber Wilson, BS, CBCC-KA, ACO
Amber is a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine-Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University and is also a Certified Animal Control Officer through the Texas Department of State Health Services and Fear Free Shelters Certified.
With more than six years of experience in both municipal and nonprofit animal sheltering, Amber has worked extensively with dogs experiencing fear, anxiety, stress, and aggressive behavior including bite cases. She is especially passionate about helping families understand and successfully rehabilitate their dogs through compassionate, science-based behavior modification. Amber also enjoys improving the welfare of shelter dogs by reducing stress during their stay and helping prepare them for successful adoption into loving homes.
Amber believes that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, and have the opportunity to succeed. Whether she’s helping a newly adopted shelter dog settle into a home or working through complex behavior challenges, her goal is to empower both dogs and the people who love them.
When she’s not working with clients, Amber enjoys spending time with her four dogs, her 28-year-old horse, and her cat at her home in Granbury, Texas.

Completing the Fear Free Animal Program allows trainers to work in partnership with veterinary teams to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress and improve an animal’s emotional wellbeing during veterinary care and home care. This certification program is designed to give qualified animal trainers the knowledge and tools required to begin implementing Fear Free techniques with their clients’ pets at the veterinary hospital, through in-clinic training classes for puppies and kittens, and in day-to-day training of animals in the home.
