Frequently Asked Questions

Tell me about pricing and when I am billed...
  • We bill private consults on an hourly basis, prorated up or down based on time spent with you and your dog.  All of our pricing is disclosed on our website

  • We require a credit card on file, and your first visit will be billed before the first visit and charged the day of the visit

What are the differences in prices for Trainers?

Hourly rates are as follows:

  • Nicole $175 (Founder, Lead Behavior Consultant)

  • Jenny, Alexis, Christian, Emily, Kristi, Mads, Roderick  $150 (Behavior Consultant or Certified Trainer with Behavior Experience)

  • Sally $125 (Fear Free Certified, Manners Trainer)

Frequently, for cases that are more complex than manners and obedience, our initial consult will be longer than an hour. We prorate time spent, so if the visit is an hour an a half, multiply your trainer's rate by 1.5. After the first visit, all visits are an hour or shorter unless otherwise requested by you. A half-hour visit is charged at half of your trainer's rate. For example, if Christian works a dog to human resource guarding case who also needs help with leash manners and recall, her first visit will be $225 - this is because resource guarding takes time to understand and gathering information is very important to the success of the plan.

Why are there differences in prices for Trainers?

The hourly rates reflect the years of experience, the types of cases worked, and the education and certification. Nicole's is the highest because she works complex and dangerous cases. Jenny, Alexis, Christian, Kristi and Mads are highly qualified and work behavior cases that have one "problem" such as resource guarding and manners, or reactivity and manners. Emily and Roderick work nuisance behaviors, manners and foundations cases but they each have special expertise including frustrated greeters and nosework and patterns. Sally works manners cases and nuisance behaviors like jumping, counter surfing, and loose leash walking. The team tries to match you with the right level of consultant so we can be efficient with your training time and money.
